Tulip
My Father loved to raise Tulips and he had some truly beautiful ones. I share his love for tulips, but certainly not his knack for growing them.

Tulip is the common name for up to 150 species of the genus Tulipa in the Lily Family (Lillium). Contrary to popular belief, the Tulip is native to Asia although they have long been associated with the Netherlands.

Tulips are a hardy (for everyone else) perennial herb grown from bulbs. These bulbs are planted in the fall before a hard frost and they are usually among the very first signs of the coming spring.
