Henbit
(Lamium amplexicaule)

Henbit is a member of the Mint Family (Lamiaceae), that blooms from March to November in waste places, fields, roadsides, and my backyard!

The lavender flowers of Henbit are whorled around the square stem. They grow from the axils of the scalloped leaves and are 1/2 to 3/4 inch long. Henbit is found throughout the area.
