The Bluebead Lily, also known as Yellow Clintonia is a member of the Lily Family
(Liliaceae). The blooms are a soft yellow-green and are hard to distinguish from the new green spring growth that surrounds it. You really have to look to find them. They bloom from May to August in the Northern United States and Southern Canada. They prefer a Moist woods with acid soils. This plant also bears a true blue fruit but the berries are rather poisonous. They are lovely to look at, but I wouldn't try to eat them.
