The Blue Jay is a member of the family Corvidae and is related to Magpies and Crows. The Blue Jay is about 10" long and is a loud gregarious bird. This bird is found all over eastern North America, usually in groups of 5 - 50 birds. His is conspicious by his blue plumage with white breast and white on his wings and tail. He also has a head crest.

He tends to be a pest at the bird feeders as he drives the other birds away. He will eat just about anything, so what ever is quick and available is what he will take.

His call is a loud Jay Jay Jay.
